Easily boot up a dead computer

This is a guest post by Roy

Lets assume that something happens to your Windows based computer. You can no longer load windows and only get annoying system messages. Will you be able to recover your data?

Well, hopefully you do. There are a few things you can do in case of emergency to be able to try and recover some of the data. The solution is called – a Boot CD.

A boot CD is a standard CD which has a small operating system on it. When you insert it into your dead PC disk drive you actually cause your PC to boot up from this CD instead of from the original, damaged operating system that resides on your PC hard disk.

Obviously this is not end of story… You maybe managed to boot up your dead PC once again but still there is a recovery job to be made here.

The good news –
There are some ready to use solutions (most of them are FREE) that gives you the ability to create your own copy of a bootable CD. These solutions can revive your PC but also offer some recovery tools as part of the CD that you can utilize in order to repair the windows operating system.

You are more than welcome to visit my web site, I constantly evaluate and compare the available BootCD solutions in the market and explain in details the process of reviving the dead…

I also wrote a step by step guide explaining how to boot from CD by setting the PC BIOS configurations.
