How to: Repair Chinese Apad - Android Tablet
Problem: Chinese Android tablet hangs on boot. Android logo appears and then freezes. It shuts down after few seconds.
Reason: The Android installation is corrupted.
Solution: Reflash / install a new android firmware / OS.
Applies to: Flytouch Android Tablet, Epad, Apad, Iped
The one I repaired has the following specifications:
- VIA chipset 8505 / 300 mhz
- 256 mb memory
- 2 GB storage
- with camera
- vibrates at startup (unique for flytouch model)

What you need:
At least 128 mb microSD card
Step-by-step Guide:
1. Download this file if you have the 256 mb version: http://www.filefront.com/17277089/EPAD256.1.988.3k.7z

2. Extract the script folder to your memory card. If your memory card is drive e, it should look like these: e:\script\
3. While the tablet is off, insert the card to the card reader /slot at the bottom of your tablet.
4. Turn it on and wait for instructions. It will say when to remove the memory card.
5. The unit will turn off. Turn it on again. That's it. You should see the Android logo by now and wait for it to boot.
If the unit won't turn on after flashing, it means that you used the wrong firmware. Download other firmware for your Android Tablet.

It's powered on and after Loading...it will shutting down. I have tried both firmware but I'm still getting the following error messages:
Prepare update files...
Update filesystem Start .....
Erase File-System partition .....
--> Erase File-System partition Fail! Exit!
Maybe the kernel don't support this NAND Flash

I JUST PUT MY MICRO SD MEM WHEN THE ANDROID IS OFF THEN I TURN IT ON WHOLA IT'S WORKING AGAIN!!!
I bought one of these chines Apads and now after a couple of days of use the screen is not responding to my touch any one know what that could be ?
How long should the process take? Is what I'm seeing normal?
My LY 706 apad (flytouch 1.9.88) did not seem to work and kept hanging at the rudroid screen.
I took tips from this post and although the firmware given here did not work completely for me ( it hung again after boot up at the tutorial screen) ...
I used probably an older firmware.. ly706 v1.7.44 and it worked..
I would have loved an upgrade though.. but nevertheles.. now I can atleast do something with it!

My 7" Chinese Mid Tablet boot dead.
After flushing new firmware the touch screen was no work and I renamed a file and reflushed. Then after on the tablet no any action and not boot again.
How can I solve problem?
As soon as I put the USB adpapter, the screen flashed and now there is no display.
Somebody please help, what to do?

I FOUND A SOLUTUION THAT WORKED FOR ME:
1. PRESS THE RESET BUTTON WITH A PAPER CLIP OR PEN WHILE HOLDING THE POWER BUTTON DOWN.
2. IMMEDIATELY PRESS AND HOLD THE VOLUME DOWN BUTTON
3. AS SOON AS THE ANDROID ROBOT COMES ON RELEASE THE POWER BUTTON
(PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS MIGHT WORK WITHOUT THE RESET BUTTON, JUST PRESS AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON AND THE VOLUME DOWN (-))
4. THE ANDROID SYSTEM RECOVERY <3e> SCREEN COMES ON WITH 5 OPTIONS
CHOOSE wipe data/factory reset (option 4) -{SCROLL WITH VOLUME BUTTONS & USE THE MENU BUTTON AS ENTER}
THIS SHOULD RESTORE YOUR E-PAD TO FACTORY SETTINGS...
HOPE THIS WORKS IN YOUR CASE AS IT DID IN MINE...
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK AS YOU WILL WIPE OUT ALL YOUR APPS, DATA, ETC. THAT YOU HAVE ACCUMULATED, BUT I GUESS IT'S BETTER THEN HAVING A BRICK...OF COURSE DO SOME BACKUPS TO SD AND RESTORE

Keep pressing the power button and the volume down button while you turn on the device.
Release the power button when the android button comes on.
The ANDROID SYSTEM RECOVERY <3e> SCREEN WITH 5 OPTIONS should come on.

I bought a Plano Dezibel (Design & Tech From Spain) tablet PC recently. When i tried to access android market its says
"Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server, This could be temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services."
These are the things that ive done :
1. Searched for the company's web for solution - They are too busy promoting new stuff, without offering solutions to troubleshoots
2. Tried to restore factory setting - it shut down automatically and when I turned it on, nothing seems to be changed...(can't restore factory setting)
3. Tried to press the power & volume down button when switching on, nothing happened - it started like usual..
4. Searched for "How to reinstall android", it guided me to how to install android SDK, Eclipse, ADT and bla3....(it confused me even more)
5. Went to 4th floor of my office with tears & plan to drop the stupid pad from there...just can't do it (thinking of the cash i've spent)....

- Freezes after the "Loading" message during the boot.
- The android system loading and after few seconds the display turn off and don't work nothing.
- Touchscreen does not responding/does not working.
- When upgrade the system of your Android Tablet see message:
"Udisk not found (/dev/sda)
Failed Upgrading filesystem. Exit!"
- Or you just want to reset your Android Tablet
I have the same problems with my Android Tablet and finally after several attempts

So, when you download it you must unzip it

When you unzip it you will see folder with name "2.0188".
Open this folder and you will see folder with name "script",
copy the folder "script" in your micro SD/TF memory card which you will put in your Android Tablet
(ATTENTION: Memory card must be TOTALLY empty!).
1.Connect your Android Tablet with charger.
2.Make sure the tablet is off!
3.Put memory card in your Android Tablet.
4.Turn on the tablet.
5.Now it will update do not interrupt this it can take 5 min.
6.Wait until the tablet says remove memory card.
7.When you remove the memory card the device will OFF.
8.Activate your device and you will be ready to use it again!
(ATTENTION: If you want to use the same memory card in your device you must delete the folder with name "script" from it -
Copy the folder "script" in your PC if you want again reset your Android Tablet).
